Fabio Gamba began his professional career at the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO), where he eventually took up the newly created role of Business Manager, tasked with overseeing the expansion of the organisation’s international profile and influence on the many issues affecting its members. Thereafter he joined the Boeing Company, where he assumed different positions before becoming Deputy Director, Business Development and Strategy Europe. In that role, from 2004 to 2006, he supervised the development of the US manufacturer’s Phantom Works Research & Development activities in Europe.
Appointed in 2006, Gamba spent nearly five years serving as Deputy Secretary General of the Association of European Airlines (AEA), where he focused primarily on promoting the interests of legacy carriers and established strong ties with the European Institutions and EU Member States.
In September of 2011, Gamba was appointed to the full-time position of EBAA CEO. He runs the EBAA business from the Association’s Brussels headquarters, and has taken on the significant role of actively liaising with EBAA members and further enhancing the Association’s relationship with Europe’s chief decision-making bodies.
