Gordon J. Quan, Co-Chairman, has been recognized as one of the leading immigration law practitioners in America. Mr. Quan has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in American Law, International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers and Texas Super Lawyers. Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law, Mr. Quan has over thirty years of experience successfully arguing cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Board of Labor Certification Appeals and in federal courts. Among his numerous professional associations, Mr. Quan has served as chair of the Texas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and as a member of the national board of governors of AILA. In 1999 Mr. Quan was elected as the first Asian American to serve as an “at large” member of the Houston City Council. In 2002 he was selected by the mayor and council to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. He has also served as president of the Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials of the National League of Cities. Mr. Quan earned degrees from the University of Texas (B.A. 1970), the University of Houston (M.Ed. 1973) and the South Texas College of Law (J.D. 1977).
