Lorne Saltman is a partner specializing in taxation with Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, Toronto. Lorne started his career as a tax lawyer when he was with the Tax Policy Branch, Department of Finance, Ottawa. He then practiced tax law with another large Toronto law firm before joining Cassels Brock.

Mr. Saltman has frequently advised clients on, and frequently spoken and published papers on, diverse tax matters, including corporate tax planning, corporate mergers & acquisitions, income trusts, cross-border financing, international taxation, transfer pricing, captive insurance companies and real estate taxation for the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association and other continuing education institutions.
