Joan M. Gilbride is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University and Brooklyn Law School.  Joan is a labor and employment defense litigator exclusively representing management, heading up KBR’s Employment Defense Practice Group. Ms. Gilbride enjoys a distinguished reputation for successfully representing employers in employment litigation and notable trial experience as well as a depth of experience in defending administrative proceedings and administrative investigations.  Practicing law since 1987, Ms. Gilbride has obtained extensive pre-trial, trial, and appellate experience in both individual and class actions in federal and state courts throughout the country.  Ms. Gilbride has tried many cases to verdict over the past twenty-five years, most recently in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County in a matter involving allegations of sexual harassment against a New Jersey municipality and its Chief of Police. The three-week trial resulted in a unanimous defense verdict.  Ms. Gilbride’s clients have included both domestic corporations and non-United States domiciled employers with United States-based operations.  In addition to hospitals, nursing homes, municipalities, large commercial employers, financial institutions and professional service firms, Ms. Gilbride has represented individual corporate officers.
