Dickinson’s practice at Reed Smith LLP concentrates on all aspects of real estate development and real estate litigation, with a focus on economic development and incentives, affordable housing development, land use and zoning, housing rights litigation and eminent domain proceedings. He is a former Fulbright Scholar to Johannesburg, South Africa, where he conducted a comprehensive project on urban development and planning law as a visiting scholar at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Law. He is also the author of numerous scholarly articles on land use, affordable housing law and policy and takings law, which regularly feature in top law reviews and peer-reviewed law journals.
