Karen is a partner in the firm’s global technology and sourcing group and has been recognized as one of America’s leading lawyers in outsourcing in Chambers USA. Karen focuses her practice on counseling clients in all aspects of global outsourcing transactions and other strategic technology and services procurement initiatives. With respect to outsourcing engagements, she primarily represents customers in the planning, negotiation and contracting phases of complex sourcing initiatives, including IT, HR, business process and facilities management outsourcings, often including an offshore services component. She has advised on sourcing engagements for clients in several industries, including retail, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and energy.

In addition to her outsourcing practice, Karen regularly advises clients in a wide range of complex technology transactions, including SAP and other enterprise-wide implementation and/or systems integrations. She also counsels clients in SaaS (software as a service) or cloud-based transactions and other strategic data-based initiatives, such as health information exchanges and other data access, management and analytics solutions and services.
