SwissFinTechLadies(SFTL) is committed to encouraging women to take a more active role in the digital age through a selection of actions and initiatives. Dedicated to increasing the representation of women in the fintech, blockchain and investment sectors, the network was founded by Dr Karen Wendt (PhD) and is committed to driving meaningful change. With a clear mission to raise the proportion of women in fintech to 30% by 2030, SwissFinTechLadies is actively reshaping the traditionally male-dominated landscape of finance and technology. While the organisation advocates for gender parity in leadership, it also aims to bridge the investment gap, ensuring that women have equal access to opportunities in fintech, blockchain and Web3. Currently, women hold less than 10% of digital assets in blockchain and crypto, a statistic that SFTL is determined to change through education, networking and strategic empowerment.
 
Through a holistic and future-oriented approach, the initiative seeks to increase female numbers, but also provide them with the tools, knowledge and networks they need to thrive in fintech. SwissFinTechLadies offers hands-on, practice-oriented courses covering investing, female entrepreneurship and the latest advancements in finance and technology. Female entrepreneurs also benefit from a free 360 degree coaching session, ensuring they receive tailored support to grow their businesses successfully. Additionally, SFTL provides access to cutting edge knowledge with a free blockchain certificate course, recognising the importance of equipping the women in their network with the skills necessary to navigate a rapidly evolving digital economy.
 
The judging panel were particularly impressed by the inclusive and collaborative approach adopted by the experts at SwissFinTechLadies. While its primary focus is on empowering women, the organisation actively welcomes individuals and companies of all genders to participate in its free ecosystem membership. By doing so, it delivers an environment where associations, investors and businesses can collaborate, exchange ideas and collectively drive positive change in the fintech sector. SFTL recognises that true progress can never be achieved by working in silos, but rather it needs a workforce building bridges across industries and demographics to succeed — in this instance, female-led.
