Boasting over a decade of experience in international law, Evgeniia Vasileva is Deputy Head of the Legal Department at telecommunications specialist LANCK Telecom. Born in St Petersburg, Russia, Evgeniia’s first foray into the legal world as a professional began in 2011 as a Case Manager within the legal department of an insurance company, and ever since, the specialist has developed a stellar academic and professional resume in law. LANCK Telecom’s services cover more than 190 countries worldwide, and the international carrier delivers quality voice, SMS, FMS, and roaming provisions across five continents. The company has it own fraud management software solution to help its global partners prevent telecommunications fraud, further minimising risks and preventing losses.
 
Evgeniia’s academic achievements dates back to 2015 when she graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Economics with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence degree. Evgeniia took on a role within the International Project Department at Prime Advice Consulting Group during her studies, and promoted to consultant, where she drafted international contracts, managed tax matters, and implemented legal support systems for foreign companies. She went on to pursue a Masters in European Legal Studies at Hamburg University in 2018. Evgeniia was then hired as Legal Counsel by LANCK Telecom in 2018 and went on to achieve a Masters in International Business Law at Vienna’s Central European University, where she earned a Distinction in 2021 having completed a thesis based on wholesale telecommunications fraud. Having built up an impressive level of expertise, Evgeniia was promoted in the firm in 2021.
 
The judging panel was impressed by the impact she has had at LANCK Telecom, where she has showcased her knowledge and skillset. Evgeniia Vasileva now helps manage LANCK Telecom’s legal team and nurtures strong relationships with key stakeholders, who depend on her legal advice and expertise in compliance across the evolving telecommunications industry. Her impressive language skills have been an asset too, with fluency in Russian and English and an understanding of German and Spanish enabling her to establish global connections.
