Winner in the Corporate LiveWire Innovation & Excellence Awards 2025

Established in 2022, Anani & Assoc is a first-class legal firm based in Boulevard Al Abdaly, Amman. Despite its young age, the firm has quickly developed a name for themselves, helping clients navigate corporate, financial and regulatory matters across Jordan and the wider MENA region. Founding member Dr Nadia Al Anani brings more than 25 years of legal experience, providing the foundation for a practice that balances an understanding of regional legal frameworks with adherence to international standards. This allows the firm to design customised solutions for complex corporate, governance and regulatory challenges. Anani & Assoc’s expertise on how to structure businesses, adapt contracts and align internal policies with domestic laws has become invaluable for multinational companies entering or expanding within the region.

The lawyers at Anani & Assoc have contributed to significant projects such as the national traceability of agricultural products and have advised on the regulation of special economic zones. Anani & Assoc employs exploratory methodologies, including gap analyses and benchmarking studies, to identify legal shortcomings and propose innovative reforms. Between 2022 and 2023, the firm conducted a benchmarking study on real estate property management across six countries – Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt– and another on municipal regulations in a GCC country. These studies produced actionable recommendations to improve business environments, attract investment and strengthen regulatory frameworks.

The judging panel was particularlyimpressed by Anani & Assoc’s outstanding portfolio of work in corporate and financial law. Dr Anani has assisted the Saudi Electricity Company as legal advisor with the largest Mudaraba transaction in the Middle East, restructuring operations and enhancing corporate governance; advised CEER – the first electric vehicle manufacturer in the Arab region – on joint venture agreements, technology licenses and contracts with engineering and construction firms; and assisted Tonomous (NEOM technology arm) with international JVs in the technology sector and corporate governance. Their experience in mergers and acquisitions is equally impressive, including current transactions involving a GCC company from the health sector, where Anani & Assoc has drafted letters of intent, sale purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, and conducted due diligence.
